Tracy Morton

Tracy Morton

Tracy Morton's instantly recognizable work features strong, robust women; bright and bold ladies cavorting. Tracys work has a strong narrative slant and is influenced by religions, mythology and folklore. Vibrant colour and humour are central features of her paintings.

Tracys preferred medium is acrylic paint on paper or card, combined with charcoal, coloured pencils and varnish, resulting in great depth of colour and vitality. Recently the colour, although still rich, is darker, as though everything is bathed in a mystical twilight. The humour too is more veiled and intriguing.

Tracy is a graduate of Sheffield Hallam University and has won five national art prizes, including the British Airways Young Achievers in Art Award. She has been involved in numerous community arts projects and school workshops.
